Featuring this week on the blog is my current favorite, an awesome twist to otherwise regular folk-print only on Kurtis. What I like about this Indo-Western fusion dress is how beautifully the Indian print is engraved into a summery elegance. Wear it to the office or a party and you know you will surely turn heads. The dress creates an elegant Indian look. Also, your work wardrobe doesn’t have to be boring right…!
The dress totally pops up the casual Fridays look into something bold and pretty. The material is thick cotton that will put you to ease on a hot summer afternoon. I am a huge fan of pockets, they just make it so convenient to carry basic necessities like a phone or some cash and maybe cards and be about hands-free. Max is an affordable brand and I adore their collection. This Navy and bright pink dress adds some good modern drama to the ethnic folk print. Well, this really is a dress, but if you feel like, you could also pair it with black leggings and wear it like a Kurti. But, I say ditch the bottom and carry this dress like a pro.
I wore these high pencil heels from Forever21, but I bet if you want to wear some comfortable flats, some desi Kolhapuri ‘s would also look very pretty. Silver jewelry always complements indo-western designs very well, hence I decided to put on this silver bracelet that I once picked up from an exhibition. As for eyering, I must have missed out wearing them, put you could go ahead and wear those pretty silver or oxidized Jhumkas that are common while street shopping in Colaba. I wore this dress for a lunch meet-up with my girls, have a look…
