It’s almost September end and this time of the year is my favorite. Starting from Dussehra, then Diwali and finally Christmas all festivals lined up. Also with the change of weather, like the monsoon going off and with the October heat coming in, there’s so much change of fashion. I especially love these festivals. I am born and brought up in Mumbai and Dussehra, or famously called as Navratri in Mumbai is celebrated in every street and corner. The city is lit up and there are Pandals and music everywhere. People are dressed in ethnic clothes and this goes on until Diwali.
This Navratri I was either indoors or just did a few Pandal visits. Hence I wanted some not so loud outfit. Since I already like blue so much, I picked this kurta from Aurelia. The rust gold embroidery is very subtle and just around the neckline which doesn’t make the design too broad. The three-fourth sleeves and the blow the knee length makes it easy to be worn on anything. I paired it with a skirt I had brought long back from BIBA. You could pair it with palazzo pants or the now very famous straight fit cigarette pants. Simple Kurtas like these also look great with churidars or Leggings.
For accessories, I wore my favorite pair of earrings that I ordered from Amazon a while ago, and ring-bracelet and few bangles that one of my friends got me while shopping in Mumbai local markets. For outdoor Pandal hops I also took Dupatta/Stole to complete the look.
