I love Ikat and cotton. Two things you will find everywhere in my wardrobe. That’s my go-to comfort wear. The cotton keeps me happy and gives me a breather while ikat is my favorite fabric print. The end of the season sale here in India, got me going through the ‘Cotton Cottage’ collection and I picked this Kurti.
Cotton Cottage has always been my favorite place for smart dressing options, be it their dresses, kurtas or sarees. What I love the most about them is, their clothes are tailor-made. I wore this to work but one can also carry a subtle festive look wearing this. Ikat has been a great dyeing technique where you resist a certain part and allow only the exposed part to dye.
I paired this with bright pink pants and dupatta/stole from Cotton Cottage. The Ultra Violet(which also happens to be Pantone color of the year) and the pink contrast looks pretty vibrant and the silver jhumkas add to the whole indie look.
